Racing Limos of Tri-Cities, a unique limousine tour service in Washington wine country, has put together an itinerary that lets clients taste wine at several Columbia and Yakima Valley wineries while meeting the winery dogs of the region.
Stars of the Meet the Winery Dogs tour include Bung the Wonder Dog, resident pup at Bonair Winery in Zillah; and Aurora, the lovable white shepherd mix and namesake of Sleeping Dogs Winery in Benton City.
Canine greeters Jax and Sadie bark their hellos at Airfield Winery in Prosser, while Argus, a poodle with a hippie haircut, presides over Tapteil Vineyards Winery in Benton City. Also in Benton City is Riley, the tail-wagging representative for Hightower Cellars.
Clients get a warm and fuzzy greeting from Autumn and Copper, two sweet Golden Retrievers at Chinook Winery in Prosser; Brodie the Westie at Severino Cellars in Zillah; and Koda the tail-wagging sidekick at Pontin Del Roza Winery in Prosser.
Offered by appointment throughout the year, the Meet the Winery Dogs tour costs approximately $90 per hour and can last three to five hours depending on your custom preferences.
